We have a special place in our hearts for coupes, as our very first Volvo was a 1978 242GT.  While not a GT, this burgundy coupe was a good base to start with.  The car was located in California's wine country, but spent its first twelve years right here in our home town.  Somehow, it had the Wagonmeister's name on it!  Despite being a SoCal car, it was unusual in that it had no factory AC.  This has been added in the form of a complete AC and PS setup from an 85-88 car.

The rest of the coupe's story is an A to Z of upgrades, repairs and modifications including:

Full sport suspension with Lesjofor springs, 25mm/22mm anti-sway bars, new shocks and struts, firewall braces, strut tower brace and 16" alloys.  SuperPro urethane trailing arm main bushings and torque rod bushings.  Urethane kit for the front sway bar.

Interior completely rejuvenated.  Later style cloth seats with rebuilt supports.  AM/FM/Cassette and CD changer with power antenna, tachometer and full instrumentation and the usual Wagonmeister attention to cleaning and detail.  Remote activated central locking added, electric trunk lock added and a remote system with key fobs to lock/unlock the doors and trunk.  The system even flashes the park lights like newer cars!

New Fuel pumps, injection upgraded to LH2.2, new clutch, B cam, urethane accessory bushings, all new belts, timing belt and tensioner, new brakes and rotors--fronts upgraded to later vented discs, new rack and pinion, rebuilt AC compressor, new exhaust and headpipe gaskets, new intake gasket, completely tuned, adjusted, aligned, synthetic oil in the transmission and differential, custom, 2.5" exhaust from the headpipe back including the converter, engine dress up items--more!

This coupe was refinished by the previous owner in a deep wine color, a little darker than the original.  It was just cut and polished.  New windshield installed.  Intact moldings, nice trim--a real looker.  Available at $7500.  Only 113k miles!
