1991 was a very good year. At least for Volvos, we think. In fact it's our favorite year for the later, 86-93 cars. This particular sedan was quite the orphan, having spent nearly three years traveling the wholesale and auction circuit. This really does take its toll on a car physically, and the vehicle was a filthy mess, wrapped in broken lights and lenses, and with the interior looking like an army had trooped through it. What's more the left front fender had been sideswiped, leaving a gash along the fender line. A tank full of stale gas, failing fuel pumps----Just the sort of patient that regularly shows up on the Wagonmeister's doorstep.
Nearly six months being rejuvenated a bit at a time, this sunroof car eventually went to Texas with completely rebuilt seats, fully serviced suspension with new shocks, struts, bushings, ball joints etc, tons of detail work, body repairs, refinished anti-glare panels and window trim, new windshield and all the rest of the routine you can see on the "process" pages. To this the new owner added heavy duty Turbo anti-sway bars and factory-style cruise control. Our most popular configuration (as it was Volvo's); series III, white with tan interior, automatic transmission. This one will be someone's pride and joy!
