When you deal with a car that falls into the "enthusiast" category, and 240s certainly have an enthusiastic following, there seems no end to the small world stories.  This car was built under contract to a cycling enthusiast in Seattle.  A huge long list of upgrades and appearance improvements really made this a stunning wagon.  The new owner enjoyed it for awhile, but eventually found he needed something different and sold it.  Sadly, the vehicle was involved in a serious accident shortly thereafter and was totalled.  A friend of ours near Portland purchased the car at an insurance auction.  We bought the suspension back from him and the parts lived on in other Wagonmeister vehicles!
